Eligibility Criteria
Nativity: Only Indian citizens are eligible for admission to professional courses
Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas citizen of India (OCI) will also be treated at par with Indian citizens for the limited purpose of admission
However PIO/OCI candidates will not be eligible for any kind of reservation
Candidates seeking admission to professional courses will be categorized as Keralite, Non-Keralite Category-I (NK-I) and Non-Keralite Category-II (NK-II)
A candidate of Kerala origin will be categorized as a Keralite
Children of All India Service (AIS) officers (Non-Keralites) allotted to Kerala cadre are deemed to be Keralites
A candidate who is not of Kerala origin but fulfils anyone of the following conditions will be categorized as Non-Keralite Category-I (NK-I)
A candidate who has undergone qualifying course in Kerala and who is son/daughter of Non-Keralite parents belong to Govt of India/Defence Service, posted to Kerala
A candidate who has undergone qualifying course in Kerala and who is son/daughter of Non-Keralite parents who are serving/served Govt of Kerala for a minimum period of two years
A candidate who is not of Kerala origin but has been a resident of Kerala state for a period of 5 (five) years within the period of 12 (twelve) years
A candidate who is not of Kerala origin but who has undergone his/her school studies in Kerala from standard VIII to XII
Non-Keralite category-I candidates will be considered against state merit seats for Engineering/Medical and Allied courses
Candidates who do not come under Keralite or Non-Keralite Category-I will be categorized as Non-Keralite Category-II
Such candidates are only eligible for admission to engineering courses in management quota seats in Govt controlled self financing colleges and Govt seats in private self financing engineering colleges
Educational Qualification
Medical and Allied Courses
MBBS/BDS Courses: The criteria of eligibility (academic/NEET (UG)-2013) will be as notified by the CBSE for NEET (UG)-2013/Medical Council of India (MCI)
National eligibility-cum-entrance test (NEET-UG) will be conducted by CBSE for admission to MBBS/BDS courses 2013
All candidates desirous of being considered for admission to MBBS/BDS courses should appear for the NEET-(UG)-2013
BAMS/BSMS/BHMS: Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination of the board of higher secondary education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible
In the absence of Biology, Biotechnology will be considered for the courses BAMS and BSMS
B.Sc Hon (Agri)/B.Sc Hon (Forestry)/BFSc Courses: Candidates who have passed higher secondary examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education, Kerala, or examinations recognised equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology put together, are eligible
BVSc & AH Course: Candidates should have secured not less than 50% aggregate marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology for the qualifying examination
Engineering Courses: Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or examinations recognized as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics separately, and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together are eligible for admission
In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered
In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered
In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered
Candidates who have Diploma in Engineering, or an examination recognised equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years from an Institution approved by AICTE, securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final year Diploma Examination are eligible for admission
Candidates who have passed Higher Secondary Examination, Kerala, or examinations recognised as equivalent thereto, with 50% marks in Mathematics/Biology separately, and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology put together are eligible for admission to the seats reserved for Dairy Farm Instructors of Dairy Development Department for B.Tech (D.Sc & Tech)
Architecture Course: Minimum academic eligibility for admission to B.Arch, 10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognised board with Mathematics as a subject of study by securing 50% marks in aggregate; or 10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognised by Central/State Govt with 50% aggregate marks; or International Baccalaureate Diploma, after 10 years of schooling, with not less than 50% marks in aggregate and with Mathematics as compulsory subject of examination
Those candidates who score 40% or 80 marks out of 200 (for all categories of candidates) in the National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) will be considered for admission to B.Arch course
There is no relaxation in the minimum passing score of NATA to any category of candidate
There is no provision for lateral admission to the second year or at any stage during the 5 year course in Architecture
Candidates who have a Diploma in Engineering awarded by the Board of Technical Examinations, or an examination recognized equivalent thereto, by the State Board of Technical Education after undergoing an institutional course of at least 3 years from an Institution approved by AICTE securing a minimum of 50% marks in the final year Diploma Examination are eligible for admission to B.Arch course
KEAM-2013: Candidates should also apply online for KEAM-2013 with all necessary certificates before the last date
The CEE will conduct medical entrance examination under KEAM-2013 for admission to BAMS, BSMS, BHMS, Agriculture & Forestry, Veterinary, Fisheries Course
The admission and allotment to these courses will be based on the medical rank list of KEAM-2013
Age: Applicants should have completed 17 years of age as on the 31st December, 2013
No relaxation in the minimum age will be allowed
There is no upper age limit for KEAM-2013
How to apply: Online submission of application on website www.cee.kerala.gov.in
Online submission of application is required to apply for the entrance examination for admission to all the courses (Medical, Engineering and Architecture)
A candidate who does not belong to SC/ST communities will be treated as general candidate for the collection of application fee
The application fee for all candidates will be (general) Rs 700/-; SC/ST Rs 350/-
Candidate can pay application fee in either of the two methods
Security card and prospectus can be obtained from selected post offices in Kerala and outside the State, on payment of the prescribed fee (Rs 700/- or Rs 350/- as the case may be), by cash
Application fee can be paid by way of demand draft drawn on a Nationalised/Scheduled Bank, in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, payable at Thiruvananthapuram
Candidates should send the signed printout of the online submitted application along with the necessary certificates and documents to Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, 5th Floor, Housing Board Buildings, Santhi Nagar, Thiruvananthapuram-695001 on or before 09th February, 2013

Medical (Chemistry and Physics) (P-I): 24th April, 2013, 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.; Biology (P-II) (except MBBS/BDS): 25th April, 2013, 10.00 a.m. to 12.30 p.m.
Declaration of Results
Medical (except MBBS/BDS): On or before 27th May, 2013
